The goal is to encourage teachers to reflect on their practice as it relates to technology integration and set goals for moving forward with the idea of how to make the use of technology purposeful in their classrooms. Hopefully one or more of the articles linked to the Live Binder will encourage some to look at technology as a tool not an add on (Although I have to admit, still not a fan of LiveBinder, too unwieldy). While not an academic subject, the Digital Literacy and Information Skills portion of the 6th grade technology plan has completely changed to a digital format. Students find assignments in classroom, view videos or complete tasks from a Google Site and create a the final product through a technology project to share the learning. The instruction is based on inquiry, student directed and is supported by enduring understandings and essential questions designed for the digital literacy/information literacy scope and sequence.

Today for example, students were sent copies of an Alphabox Note Taking Sheet through classroom, directed to view short videos on the topics of copyright, fair use and creative commons, take notes and decide on the topic about which they will create a public service announcement, using S'More, Google Drawings or Google Slides and Move Note.
